Sandstone Monoliths are a beautiful alternative to our slate monoliths. They can provide a more traditional style of stone for water features. They are made from our local Derbyshire sandstone and have a lovely array of yellow, brown and pink tones.
Top hat drilling is where we drill a larger diameter hole at the top of the slate to create a transition from laminar to turbulent water flow at the peak of the stone. This helps create a perfect mushroom of water at the top of the water feature.
If you are interested in securing your monolith better we do supply a range of options for raising the stability of the stone. Click here for more details.
